When checking out, choose Voodoo Firearms in Minooka, IL as your FFL dealer or provide our contact information to the seller. They’ll ship the firearm directly to us. (Most stores will have our FFL on file; if not, they will reach out to us, and we will send them a copy.) -
We receive and log your firearm.
Once your firearm arrives, our team verifies and logs it into our FFL system. We’ll then call you to notify the gun is in store and start your background check paperwork. -
Complete your 4473 form in-store.
You’ll come in to fill out the ATF Form 4473 and complete the background check. Illinois requires a 72-hour waiting period, which begins at the time of purchase — but paperwork can only start once the firearm is physically in our store. -
Pick up your firearm.
After the waiting period and background check are complete, we’ll notify you that your firearm is ready for pickup. Please bring your valid FOID card and state ID at pickup.
Note: The state handles background checks and can vary from person to person. Some customers receive instant approval, while others receive a pending status that takes longer to process. If you receive instant approval and have already completed the 72-hour waiting period, you can take your firearm home the same day. If your background check is pending, you’ll need to return a second time once approval is received to complete your pickup.
